The course runs over 2 weeks
- Week 1 consists of self guided online learning that you complete at a time that suits you
- Week 2 consists of in house practical training
The programme aims to develop learners key skills and understanding in Appliance maintainance & repair
Mandatory successful completion of online modules ( is required prior to practical training)
Covers:
- Field Service knowledge on appliances including:
- Electrical Appliances
- Refrigerator
- Washing Machine
- Tumble Dryer
- Electric Oven
- Dishwasher
- Microwave
 
COURSE CONTENT OVERVIEW:
- Understand responsible disposal methods and implement circular economy principles in appliance repair
- Develop skills in sourcing and replacing specific components
- Develop skills in refurbishment and upcycling
- Understand refrigerant handling and environmental regulations
- Understand the environmental impact of white goods
- Implement safe disposal of electronic components in compliance with
- environmental protection standards.
- Implement energy-saving repair techniques and develop strategies for extending appliance lifecycle
On successful completion of the course you will be issued with a City & Guilds 5546 Employability Skills Level 1 award. (5546-01)
