E-Bike Technician Engineering Design & manufacture programme

This programme can only be taken on completion of our Sustainable Transport in Mechanical Engineering Program
This pioneering programme lets the student design & manufacture a truly bespoke & unique e-bike in its full entirety that the student will keep.
The objectives are to develop a pioneering E-bike to push the boundaries of the industry & gain valuable business experience as well as the advanced manufacturing skills that are now being utilised after the previous programmes.
The student will be responsible for the full management of the build.
This includes frame design & manufacture, wheel building, ordering & specifying parts & components, material & cosmetic finishes, motor & battery choice & performance analysis on completion, producing industry-critical data on E-bike design.

Are there any financial supports in place for the students?
- Tuition costs are fully covered by the Education Training Board
- Students currently in receipt of social welfare will not have have there payments effected by enrolling in any of our courses
- Students not in receipt of social welfare may be entitled to:

- Accommodation Allowance

What are my progress options after graduation?
- Graduates of the E-Bike programme have a proven pathway to third level education
- Our graduates have a proven pathway to join a Level 7/8 Bachelors of Engineering programme (BEng)with TUS in Limerick.
- Direct entry into second year of the 3 year (Level 7) or 4 year (Level 8) is available to our graduates
