Limerick (LCETB) Blended (Stage 2) Advanced Bicycle Technician 2026 Waitlist

Are you interested in building on the skills you learnt during stage 1?

If so this is the second step on your journey. 

To apply for this course you must have completed the stage 1 Bicycle Technician course. (Return to the “upcoming course” page to find a stage 1 course)

This course is free of charge and is fully funded by Longford Westmeath Education and Training Board (LWLETB)

The course runs over 4 weeks

• Week 1-3 consists of self guided online learning that you complete at a time that suits you
• Week 4 consists of in house practical training

The programme aims to build on the key skills learnt during stage 1 of our Bicycle Technician programme

Mandatory successful completion of online modules ( is required prior to practical training)

On successful completion of the course you will be issued with a City & Guilds Assured Certificate in Advanced Bicycle Technician & E-Bike

COURSE CONTENT OVERVIEW:

Unit 1: Module in Wheel Building (complete wheel build)
Unit 2: Module in Hydraulic Braking Systems
Unit 3: Module in E-Bike Diagnostics
Unit 4: Module in PDI and Bicycle Workshop Management

Learners can progress to our stage 3 Advanced Bicycle Technician Course following successful completion of this stage 2 course
